"BIG FOOT 03"

2002_11_28 bis 2003_01_01

Below some pictures of the progress (sorry for the quality but I had to scan the photos):

Shows the status after the energy system has been installed. You see the 6x Batteries for 24 V and the blue box on the very right is the 230V power supply, 24 V into 230 V, 2500-Watt min permanent supply from Victron. Behind these, but not visible the charging device for the batteries, as well from Victron with 24V and 50 A current.

It’s a view of the opened rear door.

To give you a better impression of the dimension of the rear door.

Here I am mounting the electric operated entrance steps. It’s much easier now and even our dog managed to climb up although he was frightened like hell (too slippery).

This shows the wastewater tank, the top cover has not been mounted yet. Even the edges of the intermediate walls of the tank have not been finalized / protected against the water. The other parts are covered with glass fibre, the same material the outer and inner wall of the cabin are made of.
The inner walls of the tanks are necessary because the volume is 280 litres. Can you imagine what happens if I stop suddenly and 280 kg of wastewater smash against the front wall? I do not want to think about that!

Here is the bedroom of my wife and me!! Do not worry: the plate will be supported to stand even my weight!

At this stage the batteries are already in the “cellar”. The box in the front and left is one of the several stock areas in the “cellar”. If you look closely, you can see at the wall at the left the location of the two benches. In between will be the table.

Here you can see at a later stage the „master of disaster” standing in one of the fresh water tanks (two, each ~ 260 litre // in case we have tanked new, but bad water we can still switch to the other one and have good water available.

The two walls behind me are surrounding the shower cabin. In front of the dark brown wall will be the sink for washing hands and in direction of my back (already standing in the right direction ;-) ) will be the toilet.
